Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do I use on a shoot?

It depends on the shoot and the requirements of the client. Generally I will have two SLR cameras on me, an auto focus 35mm film SLR such as a Nikon F100 and a manual 35mm film SLR such as a Nikon F. I also carry a 35mm film point and shoot camera in my pocket such as my Olympus MJUii. With this set up I can shoot colour in one SLR, black and white in the other and I have the point and shoot for quick snaps with a variety of film. I also always have my digital SLR camera in my bag as a back-up, because shooting film in old cameras is unpredictable. Clients are welcome to choose the cameras and film combinations they want me to use if they have a preference.

Where am I based?

I am based at Mount Nebo, in the mountains northwest of Brisbane. I am available to travel to clients locations throughout Southeast Queensland at short notice. I am able to travel anywhere with enough notice. I also do shoots at beautiful rainforest locations at Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious.

How long until I get my photos?

Film photography is not instant unfortunately, films have to be developed and digitized. I ensure that my clients have their digitised photographs within 7 working days, large prints will be delivered no later than 10 working days after the client selects the shots to be printed. The client will receive 6x4 size prints of all shots taken during the shoot as standard (the client can select glossy finish or matte finish for the 6x4 prints).

How do I book a shoot?

Use the contact form to get in touch. I am currently booked out during the week for the foreseeable future, so all shoots are weekends at this stage. But if you require a shoot during the week, please get in touch.

How much will the shoot cost?

That depends on the shoot and clients requirements (such as how many large prints are ordered). Cost start at $750 for an 8 hour session including 6 rolls of 36 shot film (approx. 216 shots in total). Cost does not include large prints, this is an additional cost.
